RETURN TO THE PUBLISHING SUITE

THIS PAGE IS FOR THOSE WRITING STORIES FOR INCLUSION IN OUR VARIOUS ANTHOLOGIES

If you agree to our terms and conditions (see the DOCUMENTS links below) then you are welcome to register with us and start submitting your stories.

We welcome both new and experienced authors who want to submit stories to our Open Calls for our Horror and Science Fiction/Fantasy Anthologies.

Fiction4All publishes anthologies on an exclusive basis. Where a submission is marked as NEW, it must not have already been published by you the author or made available elsewhere.

Do NOT submit stories you have sent elsewhere and you are waiting for a response. Only make submissions where, if accepted, we can continue to publish them. It is a waste of our editorial time if we accept a story only to have it pulled at the last minute.

Please follow the guidelines in making all submissions. Our editors work hard and their requirements are stated for a reason. They will not accept any submission that does not meet their requirements.

As part of the submission process you can now digitally agree to the terms of our standard publishing agreement, which will, if your submission is accepted, be deemed by us as your agreement to continue to include your submission in the stated anthology without the need for a signed paper contract.

For all authors submitting stories on this site, we require you to be a member of our sites, and if your submission is accepted but you do not digitally agree to the terms of our standard publishing agreement, we will provide you with a Publishing Agreement which will be set up between Fiction4All and the author.

The terms and conditions for our anthologies can be found below.

Where you require a physical agreement this will be created based on the information you, the author, provide at the time of submitting the book to us. We will send out physical agreements approximately 2 weeks before the anthology will be available for sale. For physical agreements, if we do not receive your agreement within a week of the anthology going on sale we will ignore your submission.

Before submitting a story to us, please make sure you have thoroughly spell-checked and grammar checked it. If you submit books that do not come close to our standards we will not be able to accept your submission.

If your book meets our standards and once a Publishing Agreement is in place (either digitally or physically), we will ensure the book is formatted to our in-house style, add accreditation for your story within the anthology and create the various formats required to sell the anthology on our sites and on 3rd party sites.

As of Juy 2024 all anthologies are created using the Fiction4All imprint and will be sold on several websites including Amazon and Smashwords. There's more info on this in our Anthology Publishing Guide document below. At this time we do NOT pay a fee for stories. We will also create a paperback edition of the anthology See our Anthology Paperbacks guide for more details.

If you are at least 18 years of age and looking for a publisher and want to discover how to get published by Fiction4All, please read the documents below. They tell you a lot more about our publishing program, what we do, what we expect from our authors, and other terms and conditions.

Publishing Agreements Standard Publishing Agreement

STANDARD PUBLISHING AGREEMENT

The following is our standard publishing agreement with all anthology writers. If you want to make the publication process happen more quickly you can digitally sign your submissions and avoid the delay in us sending you a separate agreement, and then remembering to sign it and send it back.

This standard agreement applies to all our anthologies.

Fiction4All

Writer's Short Story Agreement

This contract is made between Stuart Holland T/A Fiction4All, the owner of Fiction4All, whose address is

P.O. Box 375, Tadworth, KT20 9EZ hereinafter referred to as the PUBLISHER

and

{Real Name of Author}

whose address is

{Address of Author}

EMAIL ADDRESS: {email address of author}

Writing As: {Pen Name of Author}

Hereinafter referred to as the Author

The parties agree as follows:

Author's Grant

The Author grants permission to include his/her story/stories listed below in the

{ANTHOLOGY NAME and Volume} anthology

which will be published by Fiction4All

as an e-book, and a paperback,

{Story Title}

Rights

This use of the Work by the Publisher entails the assignment of First Worldwide Anthology Rights (or Reprint rights if a reprint), for publication in the English language anywhere in the world.

Terms of License

AUTHOR agrees to grant PUBLISHER the right to keep the WORK in print for as long as there is a demand for the anthology, and a minimum period of one year from publication.

Payment and Royalties

For the rights granted to the Publisher above the Author will receive exposure and royalties related to sales, as stated on the Anthology Writers Suite at https://fiction4all.com

Authors' Warranties and Indemnities

The Author represents and warrants that they are the sole author of the Work. The Author also represents, to the best of their knowledge, that the Work does not contain any libelous material.

Changes in Text

The Publisher reserves the right to make alterations to the Work's text without the Author's approval, including, but not limited to, copy-editing changes to conform the style of the text to its customary form and usage. This does not mean that the editor will change the story, only that the editor will correct mistakes and make sure the story is consistent, and format it for print. Little changes as spelling errors are in every manuscript, we correct spelling without the writers consent, believing that the writer wants the story to be correct. Consistency means if a writer called the main character Jane fifteen times and then at the end writes June, and it is obvious that he/she meant Jane, we will correct this without asking for permission. We expect the writer to understand that we do not have time to give them a copy with notes, for simple little corrections that just make the story right.

Publishing Formats

PUBLISHER will prepare the book for distribution as a Quality Trade paperback book & E-book. PUBLISHER agrees to secure ISBNs for the paperback editions and submit the ANTHOLOGY to distributors including Smashwords/Draft2Digital, Barnes and Noble, and other potential distribution channels, so that it may be available for purchase through these systems.

Copyright

AUTHOR retains copyright to WORK; PUBLISHER retains copyright to the anthology, and copyright credit will be listed to the PUBLISHER for the anthology on the copyright page.

Reversion of Rights and Withdrawal of Offer to Publish

In the event that the Work is not published within 12 months of signing this agreement, all rights revert to the Author, and the Author has the right to sell or arrange for publication of the above-named Work in any manner.

The Publisher may withdraw offer to publish at any time, for any reason, prior to publication of the ANTHOLOGY with a written notice to the author, at which point all licenses herein shall revert to the AUTHOR.

Author's Credit

The Author will be credited at the beginning of the anthology as:-

This agreement shall be deemed executed under the laws of the United Kingdom. United Kingdom law shall be the applicable law of this agreement.

The parties acknowledge that each party has read and understood this contract before execution.
